Pastor Maguire has been with Mount Airy Presbyterian Church since September of 2019 and lives with his wife Marg in an In-law-suite with his daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter in Woodbine, MD.

Jerry was born in Harrisburg, PA and came to faith in Christ as God by His amazing grace drew Jerry to Himself while he was a Junior in High School. He was discipled through the ministry of Young Life and upon graduating from Pennsylvania State University, he moved to Pittsburgh, PA to join the Staff of Young Life, a Christian outreach ministry to high school students. Desiring to prepare for ministering to the whole family, he entered the Reformed Presbyterian Theological Seminary in Pittsburgh.

Upon graduation he was ordained in the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA) serving ten years as the Pastor of Hillcrest PCA in Volant, PA, and then nine years at Providence Reformed PCA in Barboursville, WV.  He was the Pastor of Covenant PCA in Harlingen, Texas for six years and then the Pastor of Redeemer PCA in Concord, MA for nine years.  Recently Pastor Maguire served as the Assistant Pastor of Christ Reformed Presbyterian Church in Laurel, MD for nearly four years.

Jerry and his wife, Marg, are both trained as Biblical Counselors through the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors (ACBC). Pastor Maguire has also had significant training and experience as a reconciler with the Peacemakers organization.
